Welcome to the Ascertia Zero-Footprint Client-Side digital signature demonstration. This will demonstrate the digital signing of a PDF form using standard Internet Explorer® browser and the Ascertia GoSign applet. The server-side functionality for this demo is powered by our PDF Signer Server 'GoSign client-side signing module'.



This live example application will demonstrate how you can enable digital signing of important business documents using a simple browser based user interface. A PDF document will be presented using Microsoft Internet Explorer® browser. No other local software needs to be installed since the GoSign applet is downloaded on demand. We call this our zero-footprint client-side signing option for PDF Signer Server.
Now any web-based interaction can have digital signature approval capabilities added - be this with customers, suppliers, partners or employees. As part of this workflow PDF Signer Server can also countersign (i.e. add a second receipt signature) to the document to confirm the business transaction.

The demonstration shows a simple web-page that represents a simplified summary of an business transaction. When you have filled in the web-page form fields this form and the entered data will be converted into a PDF document and the GoSign applet will allow you to sign this PDF order form, using a certificate within you Windows® certificate store. If you do not have a digital signature certificate you can get a free one from here. The PDF is shown to you before signing, and shown again after PDF Signer Server has added your GoSign digital signature to the PDF document. PDF Signer Server signs PDFs in a way that is fully interoperable with Adobe® Acrobat® Reader

Ascertia PDF Signer Server and GoSign also has the capability to:
Sign PDF documents that are held on the user’s workstation (not just PDFs generated at the centre)
Perform signature verification and certificate validation at the server (to enable the business application to trust the user signature)
Enable the business application to apply real-time counter-signatures (to confirm both parties are signing this document)
Enable the business application to optionally issue a separate signed receipt document
Enable the user to sign documents of any format using an XML DigSig signature or a wrapping PKCS#7 (Uses additional XML Signer and File Signer modules)
