ADSS OCSP Server uses a J2EE architecture for scalability and resilience and platform independence. A wide range of operating systems are supported including Windows Server 2003 and 2008 32 and 64 bit versions, plus 32 and 64 bit versions of Linux. 32 bit support is provided for Solaris Sparc and x86 operating systems. ADSS OCSP Server supports the following databases using Hibernate technology to ensure a generic approach to DBMS integration: Windows SQL Server 2005, 2008 including Express and Exterprise Editions, PostgreSQL v8, MySQL v5 and Oravle 10g and 11g. An existing database server can be used if required. The free license offered by SQL Server Express is recommended for testing purposes and for low volume oeprational use.
DMZ proxy system (Optional)
Where a DMZ proxy is used, the following systems are known to work:
- Windows 2000 Server + SP4
- Windows 2003 Server + SP1
- Windows 2008 Server + SP1 including NTLM v2 authentication
- IIS 6.0 or IBM HTTP Server
HSMs (Optional)
The following Hardware Security Modules are supported:
- Safenet ProtectServer Gold PCI or ProtectServer External
- SafeNet Luna PCI or Luna SA
- Thales nCipher nShield PCI and netHSM range
Other PKCS#11 v2.x compliant HSMs may also work

Minimum Hardware Requirements
- 200 MB disk space for the product (extra required for the database 2GB+)
- Pentium-IV ~3GHz system, however Core 2 Duo recommended
For higher performance systems a Xeon Quad Core E5540 server is recommended
- 2 GB minimum
4 GB recommended especially if the database is co-located on the same server
For high performance systems the JVM is recommened to extend to 2GB
