    Global: Ascertia's SigningHub.com selected by GlobalSign for document signing & workflow

    GlobalSign selects Ascertia’s SigningHub.com solution to provide a unique solution for aiding internal document workflow and digital signature approval using high trust certificates. The ease of use and ability to create long-term signatures using high trust GlobalSign certificates were a key part of the decision. The Enterprise service plan assigned enabled 30 senior staff to sign important documents using GlobalSign’s USB Token based keys and certificates and GlobalSign’s Timestamp authority.

    Global: Ascertia successfully completes latest ETSI XAdES advanced XML digital signature plugtest

    Ascertia showed its commitment to supporting the important international standards by participating in this important remote ETSI Plugtest. Vendors use this to aid the standardisation process and demonstrate the areas in which interoperability is clear. Ascertia’s performance in creating and verifying signatures through all the detailed tests was as strong as expected. The Ascertia management team has a very strong focus on R&D in this key area since it is essential for EU and world-wide business.

    Africa: Kenya Plant Health Inspectorate Service (KEPHIS) selects ADSS Server for document signing

    The Kenya Plant Health Inspectorate Service (KEPHIS) has selected ADSS XML Server for to enable ETSI XAdES signatures to authenticate data approval and ensure on-going data integrity for business data. Support for multiple keys within an HSM, easy integration using ADSS Client SDK and support for standards including OASIS DSS and ETSI advanced electronic signatures for both signing and verification were key decision criteria.

    Norway: Commfides Norge AS selects Ascertia Docs (ADocs) for document signing & workflow

    Ascertia and Commfides Norge AS have agreed to work as solution partners in the Norwegian market. Commfides will provide cloud-based document workflow and signing services using Ascertia Docs (ADocs) and ADSS Server products and leverage the existing trust infrastructure and client base that Commfides already has in Norway. The ability of ADocs to work with the existing high trust USB based keys and certificates issued by Commfides and the ability to work with PDF and PDF/A documents and provide ETSI PAdES Part2 (as well as Part 4 and Part 5) long-term signatures were key selection criteria. Ascertia will work with Commfides to ensure that ADocs fits the Norwegian market requirements including the checking of national IDs.

    Europe: QuoVadis selects Ascertia OCSP Monitoring tools for its high-trust validation services

    Ascertia is pleased to announce that QuoVadis has chosen its highly effective OCSP Monitor and OCSP Crusher products to monitor and confirm the performance of the QuoVadis OCSP service. Many OCSP providers have no service monitoring tools and the first they know of a problem is when a customer raises an issue. QuoVadis is a leading international Certification Authority, issuing SSL certificates as well as digital certificates for End Users with its Trust/Link Enterprise managed PKI offering. QuoVadis is audited to both WebTrust and ETSI qualified standards.

    Europe: The Netherlands Government selects ADSS Server for document signing

    The Netherlands Ministry of Innovation and agriculture has selected ADSS XML Server for its ability to delivery ETSI XAdES signatures to authenticate data approval and ensure on-going data integrity for business data. Support for multiple keys within an HSM, easy integration using ADSS Client SDK and support for standards including OASIS DSS and ETSI advanced electronic signatures were a key part of the decision criteria.

    Europe: Ascertia selected by COMTEC NET for Digital Signature and Long-term Archive Services

    Ascertia has been selected by COMTEC NET SRL to provide the digital signature and timestamp services that underpin its next generation of e-business services. COMTEC NET is headquartered in Bucharest and specialises in providing EDI services and e-Invoicing solutions. Ascertia ADSS Server was selected to power the digital signature creation and verification services and timestamp based Long-Term Archive and Notary Services (LTANS) needed to satisfy the legislative demands for on-line business. The relevant legislation is Romania’s Fiscal Code law 571/2003 the EC recommendations 1994/820/E. Ascertia was selected because of the strong support ADSS Server provides for ETSI PAdES and XAdES signatures on PDF documents and XML data, and its ability to secure such data in a long-term well-managed archive solution.

    Europe: The Netherlands Ministry of Justice extends its use of Ascertia ADSS Server

    The Netherlands Ministry of Justice (JustID) has awarded Ascertia with another contract increasing the number of ADSS Server licenses used for document digital signature creation, verification, timestamping and archiving. This new order reflects on the fact that Ascertia continues to extend the features and clever flexibility of ADSS Server and ADSS Go>Sign Applet to handle a variety of business integration and workflow requirements.

    Europe: Ascertia speaks at GITI conference in Georgia

    Ascertia was invited to speak on the subject of “Leveraging e-ID trust Infrastructure for Business and Citizens” at this year’s GITI conference in Tbilisi, Georgia. Supported by local partner Next Generation Technology (NGT.ge) Ascertia spoke at the conference and in various meetings afterwards about the importance of having an effective digital signature framework that enabled and supported the types of interactions that are most important for government, financial and other interactions with corporate, retail and citizen interactions. Such a framework allows effective digital security measures to enable new online services, particularly using cloud based solutions which can be enhanced and extended as needed and thus provide much greater flexibility than local software.

    A global certificate managed service provider has selected Ascertia ADSS OCSP Servers as part of providing browser rooted high strength identity services to a world-wide customer base. ADSS Server was selected because of its robust, high-volume performance and ease of management when responding for multiple CAs. The ability to be able to quickly deploy and re-use existing hardware used by an old technology was considered key in selecting Ascertia.

    Iceland: Ascertia powers Skyrr’s SaaS PDF signing solution

    Skyrr hf has selected Ascertia’s ADSS TSA Server, ADSS PDF Server and ADSS Go>Sign Applet products to power their signing service solution for the Icelandic market. Using ADSS Go>Sign Applet and ADSS Server enables PAdES, XAdES and CAdES long-term signatures to be created on a variety of documents for Skyrr’s government, financial and other clients. These security services build on the trust provided by the Icelandic National ID infrastructure service that also uses Ascertia ADSS OCSP Server, OCSP Monitor, CRL Monitor and test tools.

    Global: Ascertia announces Ascertia Docs interoperability with high trust local digital certificates

    Ascertia announces that it has successfully tested its cloud-based document sign-off and approval workflow application,Ascertia Docs, with multiple Public Key Infrastructures in Europe the US and Asia where smartcard keys with high trust PIV and eID certificates are used. The long-term PDF signatures have used either local TSA servers, CRLs or on-line OCSP servers to provide the necessary timestamp and certificate revocation data. This means that companies wanting high trust individual PDF digital signatures created by local smartcards or USB tokens can now use Ascertia Docs and their local PKI. The long-term signature produced by Ascertia Docs are good for up to 25 years depending on the CA. Ascertia Docs supports Adobe Rooted CDS and other certificates from GlobalSign, VeriSign and Entrust, Adobe AATL and other certificates from QuoVadis and SwissSign, plus eID and other certificates from DigitalSign and Certipost. Other certificate service providers can be readily supported as required.

    Europe: Ascertia signs Concept Electronics as a reseller for Romania

    Ascertia welcomes Concept Electronics to its reseller partner network. Concept Electronics is headquartered in Bucharest and specialises in advanced IT solutions including trust solutions using digital certificates. In their first sale they have supplied Ascertia’s PDF signing products to the Romanian Government. Ascertia has also agreed to enhance the PDF Sign&Seal to include optional file signing using PKCS#7 and CMS functionality later this year.

    USA: Ascertia ADSS OCSP Server is FIPS 201 Certified and placed on the GSA Approved Products List

    Ascertia’s ADSS OCSP Server has been successfully certified as part of the GSA FIPS 201 Evaluation Program. FIPS 201 is a United States federal government standard that defines Personal Identity Verification (PIV) requirements for Federal employees and contractors. FIPS 201 was developed to satisfy the technical requirements of HSPD-12 in response for improving the identification and authentication of Federal employees and contractors for access to Federal facilities and information systems. The ADSS OCSP Server validation authority was subjected to a number of strict tests including the use of RSA and ECDSA crypto with SHA-1 and SHA-2 algorithms. Ascertia continues its support for FIPS 201 and the ADSS SCVP Server is also in the process of being FIPS 201 certified with results expected in Q4 2011.

    Middle East: UAE’s Emirates Identity Authority (EIDA) selects Ascertia for validating of national e-IDs cards

    Emirates Identity Authority (EIDA) has selected Ascertia’s ADSS OCSP Server product as part of the UAE government national ID smart card scheme for citizens and expatriates. The UAE national e-ID smartcards are used for a wide range of online government services, border control and general e-signature and authentication applications. ADSS Server provides centralised e-ID validation services so that any of these business applications can verify digital identity certificates in real-time. The project has used next generation PKI technology to position the UAE e-ID program as one of the most advanced in the world. Ascertia's ADSS Server was selected after a rigorous evaluation process to meet high performance, resilience, real-time certificate status monitoring and detailed management reporting and advanced security management features. Ascertia has also supplied ADSS Signing Server to enable EIDA to offer a full centralised e-signature verification service. ADSS Server removes complexity from business applications and allows them to make a simple service call to EIDA’s centralised verification authority service making the eID cards simple to use and ubiquitous in providing trust services within the UAE.

    Europe: Ascertia wins British Library tender for next generation Time Stamp Authority Services

    The British Library has selected Ascertia's ADSS TSA Server working with Thales Solo HSMs and Meinberg M300 GPS NTP Servers to provide an effective high volume, resilient, trustworthy source of timestamps to secure the data being ingested into the national Digital Library System. ADSS Server is able to deliver hundreds of SHA-2 RSA-2048 timestamps with time drift checking and alerting using alternative GPS time sources. This confirms Ascertia's dominance in supplying RFC 3161 and ETSI 102 023 compliant TSAs.
